ORDER: 1 slice of Cheese (red sauce, mozzarella), 1/3 slice of Spicy Pep Ranch (Pepperoni, jalepeño, red sauce, mozzarella, topped with housemade ranch), 1/3 slice of Spicy Hawaiian (Capicola, pineapple, jalapeño, red sauce, mozzarella), 1/3 slice of White Honey (Honey, ricotta, mozzarella, basil), 1/3 slice of Mushroom Veg (Mushroom, red onion, red sauce, mozzarella, basil)
REVIEW:
Your mouth will hit La Flor. If you are in Crown Heights, Brooklyn looking for a new slice joint with a classic slice joint vibe, check out La Flor. Churning out pies with L’industrie-esque puffy outer edges, generously loaded with tomato sauce and cubed aged mozzarella not unlike Joe and Pat’s, La Flor pizzas are photogenic - to say the least. They also taste good! The menu offers “ “classic,” “topping,” and “speciality” and I recommend you get at least two of them with each visit. The Spicy Pepperoni Ranch is a popular specialty slice that stimulates nearly all the taste buds. All are served New York street slice style with a thin and sturdy underside that is foldable. And since the cozy dining area offers just a few seats and no public restroom, I suggest taking your slices “to go.” If you happen to be lucky enough to live or work in the area, La Flor may soon become your new favorite pizzeria!

MISCELLANEOUS:
Sean Taylor, Valerie Corbett, Scott Wiener
1. I picked up my sister, Valerie Corbett, at La Guardia airport and before we even went home, we went directly to get pizza. Who better to meet up with than my good friend (and walking pizza repository) Scott Wiener.

2. Scott Wiener arrived at pizza after just having done a pizza tour (with his company Scott's Pizza Tours). During the meal, he brandished not one, but two blades: a pizza slicer and a pocketknife. He says both come in handy on tours.Strike Up the Band with fill-ins

3. After pizza, Valerie Corbett and I went bowling. I'm on a bowling team called Strike Up the Band! and we were shorthanded so Valerie joined - and did quite well!
