ORDER: 2 slices of Ottobagatto (beef and pork meatballs, sausage, sauce, mozzarella), 1 slice of Margherita (sauce, basil, fresh mozzarella), 1 slice of Funghi (mushrooms, panna, roasted garlic, parmigiano, fontina, arugula, lemon), 1 slice of Hell Pie (sauce, hot soppressata, pepperoni, smoked mozzarella, pecorino, calabrian chili),

REVIEW:
Underground pizza. Hidden beneath Times Square in the heart of New York city is a hip, new pizzeria serving top tier pies called See No Evil Pizza. While you don’t have to take the subway to get there, you can avoid the theater district crowd and take the 1 train to 50th Street and not even have to leave the station. Each pizza is prepared using dough composed of a flour mixture that, when baked in one of See No Evil’s state of the art electric deck ovens, produces the perfect blend of both Italian and American crusts. The result aesthetically resembles an individual sized Napoletana pie but with a stiffer consistency sturdy enough to hold the weight of the premium ingredients on their signature pies. I was a particular fan of the Hell Pie with its spicy combination of hot soppressata and calabrian chili with the flavorful smoked mozzarella. With time, I expect this new pizzeria will continue to perfect the process requiring even less extraneous flavor-altering flour in the shaping and transferring phase. While the prices are not cheap, considering the prime location, the dining area is surprisingly spacious conducive to both an after work dinner or even a date. The excellent mix of non-intrusive music adds to the ambiance allowing patrons to completely escape the fact they are enjoying delicious pizza in a subway station. I look forward to my next visit to See No Evil Pizza!

MISCELLANEOUS:
Sean Taylor, Shannon Krowicki, Chris Simpson, Robin Rothman

1. Chris Simpson, Shannon Krowicki, and Robin Rothman are all part of a musical improv group called Secret, Secret that perform every Thursday at the Magnet Theater.

2. Today the Mets (my favorite baseball team) beat the Phillies (Robin's favorite baseball team) in the National League Divisional Series.  When these two team meet, things tend to be a little more tense around our household. I know I can't do much to change the outcome of the game but I wore my lucky Mets hat and my lucky Mets belt today and it paid off.  Btw, I wore the lucky belt even though I was wearing pants with a drawstring and no belt loops. Yes, I will be wearing both items tomorrow and in however many more games the Mets play this postseason.

3. After several years, Chris Simpson got his hair cut. It was much longer last year.

4. Shannon Krowicki and Chris Simpson both politely laughed at my stand up joke relating to "my wife."
