DAY 2: OCTOBER 2nd, 2020

LOCATION: Villaggio (3144 S State St suite 1, South Salt Lake, UT 84115)

GUEST(S): Robin Rothman, Angie

ORDER: 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of pepperoni

REVIEW:
NYC in SLC. Thanks to Villaggio, you can get an authentic New York street slice in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Originally from Arthur Avenue in Bronx's Little Italy, Ricci Rondinelli churns out extra large slices of thin crusted pizza layered with industry-best Grande mozzarella cheese and generous amounts of savory tomato sauce.  Ricci claims he is merely serving his grandmother‘s recipes, whereas I claim he has successfully teleported a New York pizza joint over 2,000 miles west.  Adapting to his new surroundings Ricci has even made some improvements including a spacious and pristine clean dining area, several parking spots out front and a courteous mask-wearing staff. The prices are on par with what you might expect to pay in New York but it’s a lot more reasonable than the cost of a flight.

Angie, Robin, Sean (unmasked)

Masked Angie, Robin, and Sean

1. Angie is a Federal Prosecutor.  Robin and I first met Angie at my sister's wedding where Angie was the Maid of Honor.

2. Robin Rothman and I rushed to the RV Park so we could watch her parents perform stories as part of Adam Wade's Storytelling class that he is currently teaching online at the Magnet Theater. Here is a snapshot of my father-in-law headlining the show:
