Day 18, 2012: Arturo's (Greenwich Village, NYC)

DAY 18: OCTOBER 18th, 2012

LOCATION: Arturo's (Houston St. and Sullivan St.)

ORDER: 2 slices of Arturo's Fiesta, 1 slice of Mushroom

GUEST: Rachael Mason, Andrew Butterworth, Robin Rothman

REVIEW: Eat it again, Sam.  Arturo's does it all. Two huge painting lined backrooms allows Arturo's Coal Oven Pizza the flexibility to feed larger parties, while the bar and live jazz at the entrance sets a romantic mood perfect for a dinner for two.  And that dinner is delicious pizza.  Expertly topped and evenly sauced, these sturdy, coal-fired crusted masterpieces fit right in with the artsy decor.  I recommend a hearty meat topping like sausage or pepperoni to provide a zest to complete the already tangy and savory taste in an Arturo's pie.
