DAY 11: OCTOBER 11th, 2008 - Patsy's

DAY 11: OCTOBER 11th, 2008

LOCATION: Patsy's Pizzeria (69th St. and 2nd Ave., NYC)

ORDER: 3 slices of Pepperoni

GUEST(S): Jen MacNeil

PIZZA REVIEW:
En-franchised! Finally, a franchise pizza place that cares about the quality of the product they cook. Consumers can watch as the chef transforms each dough paddy into a canvas for deliciousness. After a generous amount of a secret spice rich tomato sauce is applied, the fresh mozzarella cheese and hand-cut pepperonis are layered in to create the best tasting pepperoni pizza in the city. Impress a date, splurge for a family, or blow an out-of-towners mind just by bringing them to Patsy's.

MISC.:
1. Jen MacNeil has a blog called "In the New" where she writes about a new event she does each day. This is the second time my quest for the 31 Days of Pizza has crossed over into her pursuit in as many years. Her "new" thing today is to video edit. Stay tuned to jen365.blogspot.com to see her take on our delicious meal.

2. Not all Patsy's are coal fired. This location is gas powered. While all the ingredients are the same, in my opinion, nothing beats the charred edges of coal-fired brick oven pizza.
