Awesome pizza, for shore! Just steps from the sand, Prima Pizza Cucina in New Smyrna Beach, Florida is serving up some of the best pies in the Sunshine State. This beach town gem combines top-tier ingredients, skilled technique, and a dough recipe that hits all the right notes. You can taste the care in every bite. Many locals grab their pies to go or opt for a quick slice, but I recommend committing to a full pie—and maybe a second one while you’re at it. That way you can experience both the traditional and the creative sides of Prima’s menu. The Margherita was the standout for me, thanks to its rich, savory tomato sauce that’s applied with just the right amount of generosity. For topping lovers, the Saluto is a Mediterranean masterpiece loaded with olives, onions, capers, feta, arugula, and pesto on a thin yet satisfyingly filling electric-oven crust. Pair your pie with one of the many wines or beers on hand and you’ve got a meal worthy of a date night—or a reward for a long day at the beach. Given the exceptional quality, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. There was no wait when we arrived right after opening, but with pizza this good and limited seating both inside and out, expect a line to form as the day goes on. Then again, if you do have to wait, you’re only a few minutes from the shore and the Florida sunshine. Prima Pizza Cucina is a slice of beachside perfection—and one I can’t wait to revisit.

3. Chris Skells arrived in his motorcycle and parked it right out front. We have been friends since we met in the 4th grade in Izmir, Turkey. We were even in the same rap group in 5th grade - before I even knew what rap was!

6. While we were out enjoying a camp fire, some space-bound object launched from nearby Cape Canaveral. It was spectular and then came the earth-shaking noise. Really cool!
