REVIEW: 

Slice of the Town. In the heart of Savannah’s bustling City Market, Vinnie Van GoGo’s is serving up some seriously satisfying New York-style pizza. You can’t miss it—just follow the line of hungry locals and tourists snaking around the corner. The cozy indoor dining area doesn’t open until later in the afternoon, but the porch seating and outdoor register make it easy to grab a slice on the go. These extra-large slices hit all the right notes: thin and foldable in the middle with a pleasantly chewy outer edge. My favorite was the pepperoni—plenty of zesty sauce, crisped-up edges, and a flavor that lingers long after the last bite. For the adventurous, the rotating “Pie of the Day” keeps things interesting. In a city known for its Southern charm, Vinnie Van GoGo’s brings a little taste of New York to the Lowcountry—fast, friendly, and fairly priced. Whether you’re sightseeing, people-watching, or just plain hungry, it’s the right slice at the right time.
