REVIEW:
Pizza at Voodoo, Who Knew? Voodoo Brewing Company in Valrico, Florida isn’t just brewing up great beer — they’re serving a little bit of everything to go with it, including surprisingly solid pizza. On a lively Saturday visit, I found the place packed with good vibes: live music filling the air, families and friends crowding the long tables, and a staff that looked genuinely happy to be there. With enough space to host a high school reunion and ceilings that seem to stretch to the sky, this brewery is built for a good time. The kitchen menu reads like a greatest hits list of beer-friendly bites: wings, nachos, tacos, burgers, pretzels, barbecue, burrito bowls — and yes, pizza! While it’s far from a dedicated pizzeria, the pies at Voodoo hold their own. The thin electric-oven crust bakes up bubbly, light, and crisp, with yeast pockets that puff just enough to lift the generous mozzarella and decent-quality toppings. Signature pies include the Big Easy Cheesy for purists, and the Sweet Heat — a bold combo of chorizo, jalapeño, and sweet honey drizzle — for those looking to turn things up. There’s also a dill pickle pizza, pulled pork pizza, and even a vegan-friendly option on a cauliflower crust. Prices are fair, portions are hearty, and everything pairs perfectly with a pint (or two). Voodoo Brewing Company may not be a pizza destination, but the pies here definitely keep the spirits high and the livers lined.
