Day 10, 2021: Two Boots (Williamsburg, Brooklyn)

DAY 10: OCTOBER 10th, 2021

LOCATION: Two Boots - Williamsburg (558 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211)

GUEST(S): Kat Hoffman

ORDER: 2 slices of small Bayou Beast (spiced shrimp, crawfish, andouille, jalapeños and mozzarella)

REVIEW:
Ital-ousiana! Wherever there is a Two Boots, you'll find uniquely flavorful Lousiana-inspired pizza...and probably me. The one in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is located only feet from the Bedford stop on the L train meaning that hipsters, park-goers, and other lucky area residents can put a solid slice in their mouth and get a Cajun kick in the pants at the same time. Get Two Boots original specialty pie. I did. The Bayou Beast is my favorite. Although they sell them by the slice, I recommend buying a fresh pie to ensure nothing will zap any zing from the zesty creations. Oh, and there will be zing. The Bayou Beast, for instance, is loaded with seasoned shrimp, andouille (spicy sausage), and mashed up jalapeños. That one is my favorite. The mozzarella may cut some of the kick, but there is plenty more atop that stiff cornmeal crust. Two Boots may break many traditional slice conventions but I love the way it tastes.

2. Kat Hoffman was born and raised in a town of 4,000 people.  She like knows everyone in her home town.
