DAY 28: OCTOBER 28th, 2016

LOCATION: Home Slice (1415 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704)

GUEST(S): Robin Rothman

ORDER: 1 slice of Cheese, 1 slice of Margherita

REVIEW:
A Texas slice of the Big Apple. Thanks to Home Slice on Austin’s South Congress street, residents don’t need to leave the city limits to grab an authentic New York street slice. Complete with a cozy dining area, condiment shakers, a glass counter, and picture perfect pizza, Home Slice transports patrons to a cleaner and friendlier New York slice joint. The motto "In crust we trust" adorns every pizza box emphasizing the importance placed on a crucial element of the quintessential New York street slice. Each pie's large, golden brown firm yet foldable deck oven baked edge and underside reveals Home Slice's commitment to quality. They go a step beyond by topping each crust with high quality ingredients including creamy mozzarella and rich tomato sauce. If I lived near Austin's Home Slice, fuhgeddaboudit! I would be here all the time.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Robin

1. Robin Rothman pregamed our pizza with barbeque brisket from Micklethwait.

Capitol building, Sean
2. Robin and I visited the Texas state capitol building in Austin.  It's the largest state capitol building in the United States (even taller than the US Capitol in Washington D.C.) adding support that "everything is bigger in Texas."
