REVIEW:
Where Naples meets Texas. Thanks to Bufalina, you can get from Austin to Naples in 90 seconds. That is how long it takes to make and bake traditional Italian pizza in this East Cesar Chavez pizzeria. The well-trained pizzaioli top each pie with high quality locally harvested ingredients in accordance to specific guidelines. Then, they masterfully maneuver them in an imported wood-fired brick oven to produce an exquisite Neapolitan style pizza every time. Bufalina's signature pies range from the traditional Margherita to the exotic Italian spicy Calabrese to the enticing seasonal flavors of the Braised Goat. Mixing a Mexican mole sauce and oaxaca cheese topped with Texas goat and butternut squash atop a soft Italian wood-fired crust brings three great cuisines together for a uniquely Mex-It-Tex eating experience. Bring a date and pair your pie with some fine wine or craft brews in the rustic dining area for a great start to a long Austin night. All this awesomeness comes at a price, but the lines down the block prove that a meal at Bufalina is more than worth it.
