GUEST(S): Robin Rothman
ORDER: 3 slices of a Medium Thin crust with BBQ brisket, onion, red pepper
REVIEW:
Deep dish in the heart of Texas. Gino’s East, a Chicago pizza institution, has expanded into Dallas and beyond. Offering a menu of signature items including deep dish and thin-crust pizza as well as a vast array of beverages, Gino’s East combines all the features of a family-friendly restaurant with all the perks of a spacious sports bar. Opt for the locally sourced brisket topping for a taste of Texas on your Chicago pie, but expect the antithesis of a “quick slice” as the high quality ingredients and high quantity of them take upwards of an hour to bake. While it may cost more in time and price, Gino’s top notch service caters patiently to every need, enabling patrons to enjoy comfort food in a comfortable fashion. They will not only let you draw on the walls while you wait but they encourage it. You can literally leave your mark on Gino’s East, while the pizza figuratively leaves its mark on you.
