DAY 6: OCTOBER 6th, 2014
LOCATION: Annabel (809 9th Ave, Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, NY)
ORDER: 2 slices of a personal size san marzano tomato sauce, fior di latte, basil and 1 slice of ricotta, duck prosciutto, blueberry chutney
GUEST(S): Zander Wahl
REVIEW: Chic, unique with great technique. In the realm of pizza and beer, Annabel is in a league of its own! This pristine Hell's Kitchen establishment offers top flight ever-rotating craft beers, gourmet Naples style pies, and a vast assortment of appetizers and desserts. Whether you bring a date, a business associate, or just saddle up to the bar solo, Annabel is equipped with a menu of creative artisan pizzas waiting for you. Ingredients such as duck prosciutto, blueberry chutney, spicy organic kale, and even octopus find their way in to signature pies and the stomachs of satisfied patrons. Original and traditional, the san marzano tomato sauce, fior di latte, and basil pie epitomizes the authentic Margherita. With time and familiarity with the wood and gas brick oven, Annabel's talented pizzaioli will be churning out some of the best pies in the city. I'm looking forward to going back.

1. Zander Wahl is the shortstop for the softball team I play for. He's really good. He and I spoke about knee surgery since he has already had the same one I am to have to repair my meniscus on the 25th.
2. One time while playing softball in Central Park, we collided on a looper between shortstop and left field and I ended up with my first black eye.
