DAY 5: OCTOBER 5th, 2023

LOCATION: Burrata Basil Pizza  (221 Avenue A, New York, NY 10009)

GUEST(S): Michael McLarnon

ORDER: 1 slice of Burrata Basil, 1/2 slice of Fra diavola, 1/2 slice of Margherita, 1/2 slice of Supreme, 1/2 slice of Sicilian

REVIEW:
Quick, Quality slice. If you happen to be in Manhattan’s Lower East Side seeking a slice shop churning out premium pizza, look no further than Burrata Basil Pizza. Following the lead of NY Pizza Suprema,  Burrata Basil has ventured beyond the quintessential New York street slice to offer specialty options like the spicy pepperoni Fra Diavola, an upside down Sicilian and, of course, the Burrata Basil to name a few. With such generous portions on the namesake slice it’s not only filling but a wonder of culinary architecture how the crisp crust can support it. The limited seating and lack of restroom helps keep prices reasonable.  I recommend grabbing a specialty slice to go. Burrata Basil clearly cares about their product and I can’t wait to see what they offer next!

MISCELLANEOUS:
Sean Taylor and Michael McLarnon
1. Michael McLarnon is running a half marathon next week in Detroit. I’m helping him carbo load

Front window of Magnet Theater
2. Magnet window got punched broken. It sucks but the bits people came up with were funny enough to cheer me up. Fortunately, no one was around when the incident took place. I may decorate the non broken windows with cobwebs until I get the window fixed or Halloween.
