Day 19, 2015: Dani's House of Pizza (Kew Gardens, Queens)

DAY 19: OCTOBER 19th, 2015

LOCATION: Dani's House of Pizza (81-28 Lefferts Blvd., Kew Gardens, Queens)

GUEST(S): Lorina Ladrillono

ORDER: 1.5 slices of regular, .5 slice of Sicilian, .5 slice of Pesto

REVIEW:
A sweet past and sweeter future. Dani's House of Pizza opened its doors in Kew Gardens over 50 years ago and will likely be churning out sugar infused New York slices for 50 more. The bi-level dining area caters both to dine-in and walk-in traffic but given the popularity of the slices, expect a line out the door when you arrive. Speak up and make sure the pizza chef behind the counter hears you.  You'll be glad you did. Patrons sing the praises of Dani's oversized New York street slices and proudly boast about their years of loyalty.  If you love a sweeter variety of tomato sauce, Dani's may be your new favorite slice joint. I know if I lived in the area, I'd eat here early and often. My slice of choice is the savory pesto alternative but considering how reasonably priced they are, I'll take one of each!

MISCELLANEOUS:
Lorina Ladrillono
1. Lorina Ladrillono and I both have IT backgrounds and love improv comedy.  We also both agree that the MTA Bus Time app is a game-changer.
AppleTV montage
2. My AppleTV automatically displays recently taken photos as a screensaving slideshow. In October, that means I have a very heavily pizza oriented montage.
