DAY 1: OCTOBER 1st, 2013
LOCATION: Luigi's Pizzeria (304 8th Ave., NYC)
ORDER: 1 slice of cheese
GUEST(S): Alan Fessenden, David Sewell
REVIEW:
Quiet and quite spacious place to grab a slightly less expensive slice. Luigi's has a small storefront with a surprising amount of seats. Go just after dinner time and you will find most of the seats unoccupied and a nice selection of non-intrusive music playing while you eat a slice of New York style deck oven pizza. The cheese slice is the signature slice at Luigi's but expect to pay twenty five to fifty cents less for it than the neighboring pizzerias. The inconsistently distributed toppings and unevenly cooked crust are likely byproducts of the discount. Although neither the cheese nor sauce seem to be top of the line, the combination on top of the crispy-in-places crust lends credence to the theory that there is just no such thing as bad pizza. For best results order a fresh pie or a slice very recently removed from the oven.

MISC.:
1. I just met David Sewell today for the first time. He and I were just put on a Magnet Sketch Team together and we're having our first full sketch meeting today after we eat pizza. Our team name is yet to be determined but our first performance is Sunday, October 6th at 9:30pm. Sadly, I'll be in Los Angeles. Happily, I'll be eating pizza.
2. Alan Fessenden, in addition to directing the sketch team that David and I were just placed on, is a clown. Not the scary kind but the funny kind. He has a show called WHAT IF I'M DEAD? where he plays a red nosed clown named Bartholomew.
