REVIEW:
Korean-Italian street food. Fuse Korean food with pizza and the result is Appas: a self-described “Korean Pizza Parlor.” From the moment you step in, you are in store for “something different.” Once you find your seat, take note of your table number. That is going to be a necessary piece of information once you get up, walk across the dining room to the digital kiosk where you will place your order. The pizza options range from non-traditional to completely unique including toppings like Bulgogi, kim chi, coconut shrimp and broccoli. Pair your pies with some serve-yourself water or one of many Korean soft drink options. Don't be distracted by the high prices as each pizza serves at least two people due to the generous amounts of toppings and melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese potato cream-filled crust. The pizzas are made and baked in a kitchen behind closed doors but, before long, they appear at your table. And they taste good. I'm not well versed in Korean cuisine but I liked what I ate and will happily re-heat the leftovers.
