DAY 14: OCTOBER 14th, 2022

LOCATION: Grand St. Pizza (384 Grand St, New York, NY 10002)

GUEST(S): Jon Monje

ORDER: 1 slice of Tomato & Garlic, 1/2 slice of OG Cheese, 1/2 slice of Pepperoni, 1/2 slice of White, 1/2 slice of Sicilian, 1/2 slice of Sicilian with Pepperoni, 1/2 slice of Vodka

REVIEW:

A pizza shop with beer. Located in Manhattan’s Lower East Side since 2021, Grand Street Pizza has somehow figured out a way to be both a neighborhood pizza joint and a neighborhood bar. The thin New York style street slices and thick Sicilian squares are made with precision by the same person pouring the beers - a rare feat! All of the pizzas are baked in their electric state-of-the-art PizzaMaster ovens providing just the right amount of char to the outer edge to enhance the crispness without affecting the flavor. If you are lucky enough to leave nearby, order pies to go. Otherwise pop a squat on a stool in the cozy indoor dining area or sit out front - if the weather allows.  Don’t be surprised when the local residents kick up conversation. Everyone likes to talk about great pizza and that is what Grand St. pizza makes.
