Exterior

Interior

DAY 1: OCTOBER 1st, 2022

LOCATION: Beebe's at Boro Hotel (38-28 27th St, Long Island City, NY 11101)

GUEST(S): Robin Rothman, Ange DeManti, Michael McLarnon, Greg Turner

ORDER: 2 slices of Margherita (tomato, mozzarella, parmesan, basil), 1 slice of Stracciatella (tomato, stracciatella, arugula, black pepper, olive oil), 1.5 slices of Roni (tomato, mozzarella, pepperoni), 1 slice of White Heat (mozzarella, ricotta, pickled chili, hot sausage, pepperoni, mike’s hot honey), 1 slice of Campfire (smoked mozzarella, pecorino, mushroom, rosemary, olive oil)

REVIEW:
Straight A's for Beebe's! Tucked in the back of the lobby of the Long Island City Boro Hotel sits Beebe's red igloo shaped gas-powered brick oven. This is where the magic happens. High quality ingredients and expertly prepped dough goes in, and tasty evenly-baked goodness comes out. Beebe's menu is stacked with both conventional and unique signature pizzas with everything from the traditional Margherita to the pickled chili and hot honey topped White Heat. The dining area is vast including a spacious back patio. I recommend going with others so you can taste test multiple options. I tried five different signature pies and thoroughly enjoyed them all! Beebe's could also serve as a prime date location. The menu includes salads and other dishes along with a full bar. As Long Island City rapidly continues to become the commercial capital of Queens, Beebe's is well positioned to satisfy the pizza-loving community that follows. I know I'll be back.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Ange DeManti, Robin Rothman, Sean Taylor, Greg Turner, Michael McLarnon

1. AI generated social media feeds got brought up and it turns out, Facebook knows us well. Greg Turner and Michael McLarnon's feeds are full of food and food prep, Robin Rothman's is full of cat videos, my feed is jam packed with baseball highlights.  Ange DeManti's feed is full of therapy videos (specifically videos of people coping with being raised by narcissistic people).

2. I was today years old when I found out the correct plural of octopus (hint: it's not "octopi").  Thank you, both Ange DeManti and Michael McLarnon for steering me straight.

3. After pizza, I accompanied Robin to the Magnet Theater where she and her musical improv team Nightshade performed in their penultimate show. She killed it!
