REVIEW:
28 is great! Named for its address on 28 Carmine Street, the original Greenwich Village Numero 28 has made such an impact that the number 28 has become synonymous with quality wood-fired brick oven pizza. Thanks to the addition of this uptown No. 28 location, the Upper West Side is baking up better and better pizza everyday. Imported high quality ingredients like rich San Marzano tomatoes, creamy D.O.C. buffalo mozzarella cheese, and Italian extra virgin olive oil add even more authenticity and flavor to each signature wood-fired pie on the menu. Bigger groups may opt for the larger oblong Roman style pies, but I recommend getting multiple round Napoletana individual sized pies. Not only are they surprisingly filling but they are more suited for the Napoletana oven. Come before the rush because the word is out on No. 28. Bring cash or American express and expect leave very satisfied.
