REVIEW:
2 tasty 2 miss! Residents of the National Cathedral area of Northwest Washington, D.C. have known about 2 Amys since 2001, and for good reason — this spot has been serving some of the finest authentic Neapolitan-style pizza in the nation’s capital for nearly a quarter century. The wood-fired oven works its magic to create leopard-spotted crusts with a thin-but-firm base and a delightfully puffy cornicione. The menu offers a mix of traditional and inventive pies, along with a few “stuffed” options that blur the line between pizza and calzone. The stuffed version arrives folded, blistered, and oozing with molten mozzarella, savory tomato sauce, and whatever fresh toppings you choose to add. If you go (and you should), bring a friend and order at least two — perhaps one classic and one stuffed — to experience the full range of what 2 Amys does best. Enjoy your meal in the spacious dining room or out on the back porch, and be sure to grab something from the full bar while you’re at it. After one bite, it’s easy to see why locals have been clamoring for 2 Amys for the past 25 years.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Lael Taylor, Christina Dabney, Robin Rothman, Sean Taylor, Ashish David
1. Lael Taylor is my cousin! We were both raised in military families so when asked "Where are you from?" we don't have an answer so we respond, "I moved around a lot."
2. Ashish David and I were both born in Maryland and love trivia.
3. Christina Dabney is a hilarious improv comedian I met at the Magnet Theater. She now lives in Northern Virginia and I hope to see her at Washington Imrprov Theater (WIT) sometime soon.

4. After an impromptu photoshoot with landmarks, Robin Rothman and I went on a late night Wawa run to get a milk shake and junk food for the car ride tomorrow.
