DAY 6: OCTOBER 6th, 2016

LOCATION: AperiTIVO Pizza Bar (780 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10017)

GUEST(S): Will Nunziata

ORDER: 2 slices of Small Old School Round Pie, 2 slices of Small Aperitivo Pie (Fig Compote, Blue Cheese and Prosciutto)

REVIEW:
Event space and pizza place. Not far from Grand Central, Aperitivo offers three floors of spacious dining areas and upscale pizza for those who can afford it. Whether you are feeding a family, an office full of co-workers or just yourself, Aperitivo has a pizza size and flavor combination for everyone. I recommend the Old School Round pie which comes loaded with rich savory tomato sauce and heaps of melted fresh mozzarella cheese. Garnished with flavorful basil leaves and presented on a sturdy gas fired crust, it is hearty enough to satisfy any traditional pizza lover. For the more adventurous, Aperitivo features signature pies with high end ingredients including jalapeños, salmon, truffle oil, and even blue cheese. The menu also features salads, pastas, and many other appealing Italian small dishes I hope to try on a future visit. Hopefully next time I come to Aperitivo, it will be on a corporate card.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Will Nunziata
1. Will Nunziata last joined me on a Pizza date on October 4th, 2004. At that time we went to Famiglia which is remarkably similar to "Familia" as in Jeurys Familia. He is the Mets pitcher that gave up the three run homer to the San Francisco Giants yesterday.  Both Will and I are huge Mets fans.  He was in attendance at the game yesterday. Pizza was a great therapy for the two of us that are bummed the season is over. #nextyear

Hi, Flynn!
2. As I was saying goodbye to Will, I bumped into a friend from college named Flynn Murphy.  Small city.
