DAY 20b: OCTOBER 20th, 2016

LOCATION: Amore Pizzeria (3027 Stratton St, Flushing, NY 11354)

GUEST(S): Catherine Wing, Bill Buckendorf

ORDER: 2 slices of cheese

REVIEW:
Loaded with Love. When the moon hits your eye with delicious pizza pie that could be Amore! If you love copious amounts of rich sauce and oily cheese on a thin crisp crust, this Flushing, Queens slice spot should be on your radar. Given the generous portions of toppings, the ultra thin crust defies the laws of physics to deliver the quintessential New York pizza style. Occupying the space vacated by the iconic Gloria Pizza, Amore Pizzeria has taken the baton of excellent pizza and run with it. The decor of the kitchen and dining area also fits the mold of a classic pizzeria in its anti-modern approach. Expect grease laden hand-adjusted signage, tight quarters, and randomly cycling juices. Patrons have been frequenting this place for decades so I doubt anything will change and I hope it never does.
