GUEST(S): Robin Rothman, Bill Scurry, Matt Shafeek, Angela DeManti, Zohar Adner

ORDER: 1 slice of tomato, basil, buffalo mozzarella pie; 2 slices of tomato, spicy salami, olives, buffalo mozzarella; half a slice of chopped clams, parsley, garlic, lemon, cream; half a slice of tomato, fennel sausage, onions, oregano, buffalo mozzarella

REVIEW:

Part of your pizza world. From the Italian for “Little Mermaid,” Pizzeria Sirenetta is making a big splash on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Serving top tier pizza, exquisite sides, fancy entrees and a full bar, there is no telling how many wonders this one tavern holds. They’ve got Neapolitan pies a-plenty and high quality ingredients galore. You want signature pies? They’ve got six. Each one prepared precisely to maximize flavor and cooked in a a gas-powered brick oven. Even the thick crisp outer edge has a freshly baked sour dough consistency and taste. Eat it quickly to keep the thin center from saturating. The tomato, basil, and buffalo mozzarella pizza is on par with the best Margheritas in the city in both taste and price.  I recommend going with a friend during Happy Hour and getting one Margherita and one Chef Special. Sit outside if you can, otherwise, enjoy one of the two spacious dining areas and save some room for complimentary panna cotta. Neapolitan pizza lovers should explore the shore up above in the Upper West Side and check out Pizzeria Sirenetta.

3. Matt Shafeek got his flu shot today.

4. Zohar Adner has been married for less than a week. He made his own wedding band.

5. Angela DeManti walked Robin and I home...it was 48 blocks.
